Privacy notice

Last updated

This notice explains, in plain words, what happens to information when you use FamilyLine Guide at oneachieveeternal.com. It is short because we collect very little. You can reach us about any of it at [email protected]. The table is the whole picture, and the sections under it fill in the details.

What we hold, why, and for how long

WhatWhyHow long
Web server log entries: IP address, browser user-agent text, the page address requested (including a number typed into the checker), and the timeKeeping the site working and spotting abuse. We do not build profiles.About a week. Logs are rotated away after roughly five to seven days.
A phone number typed into the number checkerRead by our server within the request so it can show you the area code, region and time zone. It is not saved in any database. It can appear in the server log, as above, and nowhere else.
Contact form messages: name, email, message, the time, and a hashed form of your IP addressReplying to you, and limiting repeat submissions.Kept in a file and deleted 12 months after we have replied, or sooner if you ask. Emails to our address are handled the same way.
Accounts, cookies, analytics, advertising, third-party scripts and fontsNone of these exist on the site.Nothing is stored, so there is nothing to delete.

Things we do not do

You do not need an account to use the site. It does not set cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, social media widgets, or third-party scripts and fonts. Everything you see is served from our own pages. We also never ask for passwords, card numbers or Social Security numbers, on the site or by email, and we ask you not to send them.

The number you type into the checker

When you enter a number in the number checker, our server reads it to work out the area code and show you the result. It is not written to any database. The number does travel in the web address, though, and the ordinary log that every web server keeps may therefore contain it, for the period in the table.

Sharing

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other companies. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those words are defined in California law. Contact messages stay in the file described in the table and are used to reply to you and to limit repeat submissions, nothing more.

Your California rights (CCPA and CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to delete it, to ask us to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell or share it, there is nothing to opt out of, but you can still ask. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Write to [email protected] and say what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the email address you wrote from. Residents of other states can make the same requests, and we will do our best to honor them. If you would like to know whether a message of yours is still held, ask, and we will check.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If a child has written to us, tell us and we will delete the message.

Links to other sites

We link to the FTC, FCC, donotcall.gov and phone makers' support pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices that we do not control. When you follow a link, your browser connects to them directly.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will change the date at the top of the page. The version on this page is the current one. See also our terms of use and disclaimer.
